Back in the olden days, we used to use a great little text editor called Brief, then we used Textpad, now I use great little text editor called Geany - its multi platform, supports regular expressions, colour coding for lots of filetypes, smart indenting, etc. Highly recommend it.

Great database of fonts to download for your word processor. A useful tip though, is to enter some text on their website, then right click on the image. You can then save the image and put it into websites (some browsers won't accept custom fonts) For example just replace Russell England in this link with your own text: http://img.dafont.com/preview.php?text=Russell+England&ttf=destroyed_license_plate0&ext=2&size=48&psize=m&y=62
